Bought for a young scout who needs a lighter weight backpacking tent. This has the best price/features ratio compared to entry-level Coleman tents (too heavy), Hiker Direct (too heavy), Lanshan (too complicated and poleless), and other similar brands on the market.

Being a dome tent with crossed poles it is easy for a scout to setup and its light enough for backpacking trips. Its price makes me not feel too bad if it eventually gets damaged. Have not tested out water resistance yet so no comment on that part.
