I took this out camping back in April 2025 or so, and it worked incredibly well. Granted there was no rain, no crazy weather, and I was 10 feet from my car. But it did its job, and kept me warm in the Mid-Idaho region. Fast forward a couple months, early August I went to northern Idaho for a backpacking trip, and a violent rain/lightning storm came out of nowhere around midnight. I didn’t have my tarp on which was totally on me, but the best part was that it took me about no longer than 60 seconds to fully put on the rain tarp and set it up ready for the rain. Not a single drop got inside my tent, and even though the bottom was absolutely drenched in water, I stayed dry the whole night. I actually ended up having some really great sleep due to the peace of mind. I realized that if water didn’t seep in within the first couple minutes, I was most likely fine. And guess what, I was. If you want something cheap, but reliable and good quality. Get this. I’m a fan of giving the benefit of the doubt when it comes to certain outdoors companies, so I’ll vouch for them when I can.
